Mexico and Canada have agreed to allow the export of fresh Canadian potatoes to the Mexican market, a move that had been in the works for nearly three years. This will allow Canadian producers to export high-quality potatoes for consumption or processing in Mexico. The agreement also allows Canada access to a market dominated by the US for the past 20 years. The deal is part of a new bilateral action plan to strengthen regulatory cooperation and facilitate trade between the two nations.
