Northwestern Medicine's outpatient center in Grayslake, Lake County, has expanded its services and aims to become a community resource. The 450,000-square-foot center, which sees over 300,000 patients a year, has been expanding its services. Retired doctor and Lake County resident Aaron Dworin recalls seeing the angiography suite at a Northwestern Medicine facility where he was being treated for an enlarged prostate, which included a 7-foot screen and a control panel with a massive screen. The facility's new angiographic suite features equipment such as CT scanners and the first angio suite outside of a main hospital campus. Dworins' treatment was described as less invasive, safer, and quicker than any other surgeries. The center has since opened its doors in 2004 and has seen significant growth in its offerings, including more physical space for several key services.
