Sunny conditions are expected across the South Plains and the Rolling Plains, with high temperatures expected to range from the middle 70s to the middle 80s. The wind will shift to the north-northeast this afternoon, with low temperatures forecast to fall from the upper 30s to lower 50s. On Saturday, a new record high is forecast for Lubbock. The extended forecast period also includes dry weather across the North and South Plains.
