Phoenixville Girl Advances In 'America's Favorite Student' Contest

The Bill Nye-sponsored event will award the winner $20,000 to celebrate student achievement and raise funds for the Planetary Society. The winner will be decided through public voting. The opening round of the competition narrowed down four groups of 48 to 20. The remaining rounds will include a top 10, a top 5, and a final round that includes the winner of each group. The money will be used to fund Dayday's dream of attending Virginia Tech and exploring the possibility of a future in politics.
