Thousands of protesters gathered in downtown St. Louis to protest against President Donald Trump's excessive power. The demonstrations, locally and nationwide, were held to protest an expansion of presidential authority and to send a message to elected officials that opposition is building. New national polling showed a 36% approval rating and 62% disapproval. The main march and rally ended at Aloe Plaza on Market Street. Other “No Kings” events were held across the region, with over 8 million people participating in over 3,300 events. Demonstrators held signs addressing issues such as the war with Iran, aggressive immigration enforcement, high energy and food costs, and corruption by Trump and his allies.
