Austin man sentenced to nearly 20 years in prison for drug trafficking, firearms charges

An Austin man, 32-year-old Blane Spear, has been sentenced to 235 months in prison for methamphetamine trafficking and a 180-month sentence for being a felon in possession of a firearm. During a search of his home in August 2024, police found over 1,200 grams of methamphetamine, 89 grams of fentanyl, 309 grams of cocaine, and 159 grams of heroin. Additionally, police recovered over $10,000 in cash. The investigation was led by the Austin Police Department and the FBI.
