Kouri Darden Richins is on trial for the murder of her husband, Eric Richins, who was found dead from an overdose of fentanyl at their home in Kamas, Utah in 2022. Kouri Richins was charged with first-degree aggravated murder, attempted criminal homicide, forgery, and two counts of insurance fraud related to her husband's death. Prosecutors have presented mountains of evidence, including cellphone data and financial documents, in an effort to prove that Richins owed millions and killed her husband for money.
