Shared values link nurses with decades of experience and knowledge

Angie Praska and Janet Gadaire have worked together as nurses for over three decades at Valley Senior Living facilities in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Praska, who began her career at age 21, credits Gadaore for encouraging her to become a registered nurse. Gadaaire, who was Praska's charge nurse at Almonte nursing home, became a mentor and role model for Praska. Over the years, Praska has received several promotions and now serves as assistant director of nursing for Valley, supervising about 200 CNA and licensed staff members in four memory care units. The pair's work exemplifies the commitment and professionalism of nurses during National Nurses Week, which begins on May 6 and ends May 12.
