Will County Judge Chrystel Gavlin has denied a pretrial hearing for Wilmington's Daryl Dunn, who allegedly punched Joliet inmate Dustin Megrant in the face at the Will County Jail. Megrant has been charged with aggravated battery. Dunn admitted to the attack and admitted to throwing the first punch. The video shows the defendant striking Megrant one time with a closed fist. The charges stem from multiple counts of aggravated driving under the influence and possession of drug paraphernalia. This is not the first time Dunn has faced multiple charges; it is believed that he was involved in a serious injury crash in August.
