Middlesbrough's South Bank station bridge now to be reinforced

No date has been set for the reopening of the footbridge at South Bank train station, near Middlesbrough, which has been closed for 18 months due to safety concerns. The Tees Valley Combined Authority (TVCA) is funding an alternative solution to strengthen the existing structure. The closure of the bridge and platform two is uncertain.
