The FBI has found "explosive residue" at a storage unit in Pennsylvania as part of its investigation into two teenagers charged with throwing homemade bombs during a protest near the home of New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani. The teens, Ibrahim Kayumi, and Emir Balat, were arrested on March 7 after attempting to ignite two improvised explosive devices near Gracie Mansion, the Manhattan home of Mamdagn. The FBI found explosive materials while executing search warrants at the storage unit. The incident occurred during a clash between anti-Islam protesters and counterprotesters. The mayor described the explosives as being made "to injure, maim, or worse".
