The bottom of the Royals' lineup provided a significant boost in the win, scoring five runs against Ryan. The team's offense was fueled by contributions from Jac Caglianone, Isaac Collins, and Isbel. Despite a 12-1 lead in the sixth inning, the Royals saw their lead shrink with every pitcher on the mound.
