Vietnamese filmmaker Tran Thanh's "Bunny!!" has been acquired international rights for the film, set to be distributed in over a dozen countries. The film, which grossed over $16 million in Vietnam, will debut in Germany, Czech Republic and Slovakia on March 26, with the U.S., Canada, Norway, and Poland following a day later. Further markets are still being confirmed. This acquisition marks another significant commercial success for Thanh, who has directed five of the 10 highest-grossing films in Vietnam's box office history. The dark psychological thriller "Boney!!" defies conventions of the Tet holiday season, when Vietnamese multiplexes traditionally fill with lighter fare.
