AI technology helps reduce falls at Arizona senior living communities

New AI technology has been used by senior living communities across Arizona to monitor residents and prevent falls. High-tech safety devices have been installed in all 329 independent, assisted living and memory care rooms at the Oasis at Fellowship Square senior living community in Surprise. The devices use radio waves similar to Wi-Fi to track residents’ movements and sleep patterns to monitor their health. If a resident is off balance, stumbles or has a poor night’s sleep, a health care provider will alert them before a fall or injury occurs. The system is also operating in Georgia and Pennsylvania.
