US orders evacuations across Middle East, halts operations at 2 embassies

The United States has ordered citizens across the Middle East to evacuate due to Iran's strikes, which have resulted in significant evacuations. U.S. embassies in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait have been closed due to the threat of terrorism. The State Department has also advised that Americans should leave Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, the West Bank, Gaza, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates. However, there are limited opportunities for Americans to leave the region due to restricted commercial airspace.
