Emergency Crew Pulls Off Daring Cliffside Rescue of Family-of-Seven Trapped by Waves

A family-of-seven were trapped on the rocks near Batemans Bay, New South Wales, on April 19. Emergency crews were called to the scene near the North Head Camp ground in Murramarang National Park. The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was unable to rescue the group due to its high tide and large swell. The Eurobodalla SES Vertical Rescue team managed to lower each person down the cliff and haul them back to the top. The rescue took over three hours.
