MS NOW’s Ali Velshi Gets Emotional Handing Off Namesake Show: ‘I’m Departing with a Heavy Heart’

MS NOW’s Ali Velshi has announced he is leaving the weekend show after six years to move into weeknights and host the 11th hour on weeknight. He will be replaced by MS NOW senior political and national reporter Jacob Soboroff, who will be taking over VelsHI's weekend duties on Saturday and Sunday. Velsh expressed his departure on his show, expressing his gratitude for his time on the show and the support of the staff. Soboroffs will take over Vleshi's weekend role and will continue to be the show's new chief data reporter. As part of a lineup shakeup, the show will be moved into a weekday slot with a 9-11 a.m. show.
