President Donald Trump has re-posted a controversial AI-generated image of himself and Jesus Christ, just a day after he removed a meme that appeared to depict him as the holy man. The image was first posted by a right-wing Republican candidate for a Boston congressional seat, Daniel Kelly, who uses the Twitter handle @Irish4Trump. The President made no secret of his approval of the new meme and message. Meanwhile, Vice President JD Vance, who converted to Roman Catholicism in 2019, suggested in a speech to a conservative political group that Pope Leo should be careful about commenting on world events. The controversy comes after Trump deleted an image showing himself as Jesus healing the sick, which many devout Christians, including some of his staunch supporters, called blasphemous.
