The housing market may be favoring homebuyers, with less than 29% of all home shoppers now purchasing homes in cash, according to data from Redfin (RDFN). This shift is due to rising supply and decreased demand, making conditions less competitive. Over 40% of real estate agents believe an all-cash offer is the best way to win a house. Factors such as inflation and high gas prices influencing consumers' spending habits, such as jittery about the economy and a desire for more cash. Redfin agent Beth Behling suggests that fewer cash buyers are likely to make cash offers due to financial uncertainty. The market continues to move in a more buyer-friendly direction, with median listing price in April being $425,000.
