Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni have settled their dispute, ending with a surprise settlement just two weeks before a scheduled trial. The dispute had been ongoing for almost a year and a half, with Lively alleging that Baldoni repeatedly harassed her on the set and crossed boundaries during intimate scenes in the film. The settlement was finalised after a judge dismissed most of Lively's claims. Lively also alleged that Wayfarer Studios retaliated against her after she complained about allegations of misconduct. Baldoni, who optioned the film in 2019 with Wayfareer Studios and later signed on to direct and star in it, countered by Lively’s claims of defamation and extortion. The stars’ legal saga continued until May 18, with a trial set for that day.
