EMS Overhaul Proposed In Media, Delco Towns: Funding, Structure, Details Rolled Out

Six towns, including Media, have proposed forming a regional EMS service called the Delaware County Emergency Services Authority (Delco ESA). The proposal is designed to provide a sustainable service for the six towns and is funded through insurance payouts and a flat fee for residents and property owners. Unlike Crozer, which was owned by Prospect Medical Holdings, Delco ESA would be accountable to local residents. The authority has not yet been formed. The governing bodies of each municipality will vote on joining the regional authority.
