The Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk has welcomed a new Harbor Seal named Kaya, born on April 20, 2018, from the Aquarium of the Pacific in California. She is now on display at the Maritime Aquaria's Pinniped Cove exhibit. Kaya's unique spotted fur pattern and adapts quickly to her new surroundings have been noted. The aquarium is partnering with the Association of Zoos & Aquariums and the Aquaria of the Peninsula as part of an ongoing effort to support animal care, welfare and conservation.
