Reading's continuous rain leaves farmer with 'massive workload'

The continuous rainfall in the University of Reading has left a farmer, Dan Willis, who farms over 1,500 acres near Newbury, Berkshire, causing some of his fields to become unworkable. This is the longest continuous spell in the town for 10 years and the second-longest on record. Willis said some of the wetness of the fields will take some time to drain down. He also noted that some areas are still "very wet" and that the heavy lifting of the heavy land is making it difficult for him to walk on.
