The Lupin Lodge, a 112-acre nudist resort near Los Gatos, has been up for sale for over a year but failed to find a buyer. The original asking price was $32.8 million, but it was later reduced to $29.2 million in 2025. Despite interest from several potential buyers, including a Japanese developer, and two schools interested in retrofitting the property, there were no final offers. The owner, Lori Kay Stout, attributed these failures to factors such as low interest in loans, uncertainty over retrofit, and tariffs related to China. Stout is now considering the future of the resort after its 92nd anniversary.
