Jennifer Lynn Lieber, the estranged wife of Delta Airlines pilot, has been sentenced to 25 and a half years in jail for the killing of her cousin-turned-lover, David J. Nanovic, in a drunken tirade at her $1.7 million Minnesota mansion. Lieber had been drinking beer and blackberry brandy inside her home when she became agitated and grabbed a handgun, which she threatened to kill herself and her family. Nanovi and his 10-year-old son managed to escape the home but were not harmed. Police found Nanovic's body covered in blood and ruled him to have died from a gunshot wound to the forehead. Despite her conviction, Lieber will be credited with 232 days of time served and will serve over 16 years before serving the remainder of her sentence on supervised release.
