A study by researchers from the University of the United States has found that interacting with nature can be a significant influence on what you eat. The study looked at data from 300 adults across the U.S. who reported their interactions with nature in different ways, including direct exposure and intentional exposure. Participants found that engaging with nature more frequently, particularly through intentional exposure, tended to have higher-quality diets and were more likely to follow sustainable eating patterns. The researchers also found that more immersive or consistent interaction may matter more than passive exposure alone. These findings suggest that nature may influence the choice of food based on a calmer, more regulated mental state, and a desire to take care of their bodies and the planet.
