Paramount Skydance Chief David Ellison assured movie theater owners that the acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery would not harm the movie business. He made a surprise appearance at CinemaCon, where he promised to make a minimum of 30 films annually from both Paramount and Warner Bros., across both studios. This statement comes after Sen. Cory Booker requested Ellison testify about the impact of the deal at a hearing, but Paramount's head of public policy responded by saying Ellison couldn't attend the hearing due to attending a funeral due to a death in the family.
