The police report that high winds caused a postal delivery van to fall in high winds, causing significant damage to the roof and side of the postal truck. A business in Pepper Pike reported that they had recently wired over $5,000 to an account thought to belong to the City of Beachwood, but the recipient was a scammer posing as the intended recipient. A man reported that a former friend and city resident continued to withhold personal belongings he needed back. Cleveland Metroparks police found an active warrant through Pepper Pike for failure to appear on a previous traffic offense and transferred custody to a woman who was released without posting her bond.
