Apple has provided the FBI with the identity of a user who sent a threatening email to the FBI director's girlfriend. The company's terms of service state that it will provide user information to law enforcement under certain circumstances. The user, identified as Aldan, was only one of 134 email aliases generated by the anonymous email sent by the user. Following an interview with him, the FBI obtained access to data stored on his devices.
