Fauzan Zidni Elected Head of Indonesian Film Agency, Plans Cannes Push

Film producer Fauzan Zidni has been elected chair of the Indonesian Film Agency (BPI) for a four-year term, with the body set to make its first international appearance at the Cannes Film Festival in May. Zidani, who previously led original production at The Walt Disney Company Indonesia, will focus on expanding Indonesian films' access to the global market through strategic festivals and international co-productions. Nazira C. Noer and Yulia Evina Bhara will also attend Cannes 2026. BPI was established in 2014 under Indonesian film law and is charged with advising the government on film policy, facilitating international productionions, and representing Indonesia's industry at festivals globally.
