The USC football team began its spring practice schedule earlier than in previous years, largely due to a large percentage of the team being already available for practice. The majority of the roster is on campus, including 31 freshmen who graduated high school a semester early for spring practices. The team's top two leading receivers, Makai Lemon and Ja’Kobi Lane, are expected to leave the Trojans for the NFL. This could provide a valuable opportunity for younger players to develop. However, Tanook Hines, the team's third-leading receiver last year, will likely miss spring camp, but this could benefit the rest of the pass-catchers.
