A reporter from The Daily Wire has uncovered a scandal that allegedly occurred in Ohio, the state's second-largest Somali enclave. Luke Rosiak investigated data released by the now-defunct Department of Government Efficiency, which indicated that companies were billing to Medicaid. Despite this, he found the most blatant waste of federal dollars he has seen in his two decades as an investigative reporter. The DailyWire also found that Ohio spent $1 billion on “home health care” in 2024, which was the last year data was available. This effectively ended any oversight of these healthcare workers when the actual job began. Despite the money being spent on health services, Rosiak noted that Columbus, with the second largest Somali population in the country, was not improving health or diversity of business practices.
