Astrophicist AJ Blubaugh, a 25-year-old baseball player from Bellville, Ohio, can't take the field before every game until he receives a text from his mother, Erin, before each game. She has been sending him the same message to him every game since high school and has supported him throughout his career, including in college, the Minor Leagues, and the big leagues. Blubach credits his parents, including his father, Reggie, for helping him achieve his dream of becoming a big league pitcher. He was drafted in the seventh round out of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2022 and made his debut last year for the Astros and is now on the Opening Day roster in '26.
