Oscar Navarro, a motorcyclist from Phelan, was killed on the southbound I-215 Freeway in Riverside County early Monday morning. The California Highway Patrol stated that the accident occurred 10 minutes after a tractor-trailer and Nissan Frontier pickup collided, causing significant damage across all lanes. A 2018 Mercedes-Benz SUV was in the southward fast lane when Navarro was approached by the Nissan, which was blocking the Nissan's path. The Mercedes driver, whose identity has not been confirmed, stopped following the collision and was taken to Riverside Community Hospital where he died shortly afterwards.
