A new documentary, The AI Doc, features major figures in the AI industry discussing whether the increasingly pervasive and controversial technology should affect plans to have children. The film, directed by Daniel Roher and Charlie Tyrell, explores what is at stake if humanity gets AI "wrong." Tristan Harris, a former Google employee and co-founder of the Center for Humane Technology, questioned whether public expectations of AI success were optimistic. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, who recently had a son, offered a different view, stating that he is not afraid for kids to grow up in a world with AI. However, he believes that "our kids will never be smarter than an AI" from a "raw IQ perspective.
