Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt has appointed Alan Armstrong to fill the vacant Senate seat left by Markwayne Mullin until the end of the year. Armstrong, the executive chairman of Williams Companies, has never held public office and is closely aligned with President Trump on energy policy. He plans to focus on permitting reform and has dealt closely with the Trump administration on American energy dominance through natural gas.
