Vietnamese family drama “Scent of Pho” (Mùi Phở), set to be released internationally on March 13 through specialty distributor 3388 Films. The film marks the directorial debut of Vietnamese entrepreneur-filmmaker Minh Beta and follows a story about a family crisis within the household. It will be released across the U.S., UK, Germany, Norway, Czech Republic and Slovakia before expanding to Poland on March 20 and Australia on March 26. The cast includes Xuan Hinh, Thu Trang, Thanh Thanh Hien, and Bao Nam. The musical identity of the film is heavily influenced by Vietnamese heritage and its soundtrack is influenced by pentatonic scales and folk traditions.
