Liverpool's new signings Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz, who cost a combined £241m respectively, need to prove themselves as key to the team's future after their Champions League exit to Paris St-Germain. Both players have yet to complete 90 minutes as a Liverpool player, while Isak is yet to play 90 minutes due to injury and has scored just 18 touches in his last game for Liverpool. Wirtiz has impressed but is yet yet to score or assist against any Premier League team currently in the competition. Liverpool manager, Rick Slot, emphasised the importance of connecting more with Isak, particularly with Hugo Ekitike sidelined. The team's focus is on improving Isak's performance, particularly in light of the recent goal against Crystal Palace.
