Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is reportedly considering a summit with President Donald Trump and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun on May 11. The decision is dependent on whether Netanyahu can safely leave Israel. This comes as the two countries agreed to extend an ongoing ceasefire for three weeks following an April 23 meeting. The meeting was attended by several officials including Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Ambassador to Lebanon Michel Issa. The ceasefire allows Israel to take self-defense measures while requiring Lebanon to prevent Hezbollah from attacking Israeli targets.
