A federal grand jury has indicted Albert Egnis, 28, on one count of felon in possession of ammunition. This comes after a Special Agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives recognized Egenis on surveillance video. The agent, who is also assigned to the Pontiac Gun Violence Task Force (GVTF), said they already knew EgnIS from a federal case from 2022. The indictment was returned on March 11, 2026, and Eganis was arraigned on March 16 and is now set for a final pretrial conference on May 6,2026.
