Di Fawkes, a 48-year-old woman from Cheshire, has purchased a landmark historic building on the Shropshire Union Canal. The building, which is more than 100 years old and started producing animal feed, will be renamed Kingbur Mill after the original owner, Kingsley Burton. Fawkes plans to bring it back to life with holiday let on the top floor and retail activities, including a cafe, workshops, and courses. She hopes to appeal to both locals and boaters. The mill will be open as part of the Audlem Music and Arts Festival at the end of May.
