Two hereditary peers allowed to keep ceremonial roles

The position of Lord Carrington as the Lord Great Chamberlain of England is unaffected by the passage of the Hereditary Peers Bill. However, he will no longer be able to speak in the chamber nor vote. This decision was made to allow him to maintain his role as a servant. The decision to leave the role of these two peers was made for the sake of their livelihoods.
