The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Iowa, with the National Guard expected to be in effect until mid-November. The National Guard is working to reduce the amount of salt placed on the roads and sidewalks in IOWA. The heavy rainfall is expected to cause significant disruption to traffic, particularly on highways and bridges. The most affected areas will be those on the North Platte RIVER and East Iowa, particularly in the South Pole. The winter weather warning will be issued until 1 P.M. for the next few days, with temperatures expected to reach mid-40s and temperatures reaching the mid-50s. Despite this, there are expected to remain a significant number of disruptions to traffic and school due to the snowfall.
