Canadian publishers Brunico Communications, which acquired the NATPE assets in 2023, has announced it will no longer continue with its U.S. events, including NATPE Global, Realscreen Summit and Kidscreen Summit, effective next year. The decision was made due to "period of market change" and attributed it to the company's inability to remain relevant in the industry. As part of the shutdown, NATPE executive director Claire Macdonald and Kidschew publisher Jocelyn Christie are leaving Brunico. The company will continue to operate the Banff World Media Festival and publish Realswhewhewheels, Kidscheater, Playback and Strategy. The Kidscreen Awards and Realscale Awards will also continue.
