Tesla CEO Elon Musk has announced that the next-generation Tesla Roadster will likely be unveiled in late April 2026. The electric sports car originally debuted as a prototype in 2017 with an initial production target of 2020. Despite initial delays, Tesla has since prioritized scaling core models like the Model Y and Cybertruck, and is now actively refining the design. Despite this, mass production may still be years away. Tesla has filed new trademark applications with the USPTO revealing a slightly squarer roofline silhouette compared to its original concept, and renewed hiring efforts for Roadster manufacturing engineers.
