Fire damages parts of 12th-century castle in Germany

A fire has damaged parts of a 12th-century castle in the central German state of Thuringia, causing it to damage other parts of the complex. The fire broke out in a corner building near the watchtower and no one was injured. The castle, built around 1170, is considered one of the most important examples of Romanesque architecture in Germany. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
