Slidell woman arrested after drugs, firearm found during traffic stop, authorities say

Shirrica Smith, a 33-year-old woman from Slidell, was arrested after police found illegal drugs and a firearm in her vehicle during a traffic stop. The drugs were discovered during the intake process at the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center. The child was placed in the care of a family member.
