Ex-Tigres exec Culebro to run Atlanta's MLS, NWSL teams

Mauricio Culebro has been appointed as president of soccer for the Atlanta United FC of MLS and NWSL teams in Atlanta, Georgia, and will report to AMBSE CEO Rich McKay. Culeb has previously served as president at Tigres UANL and chief operating officer of the Mexican Football Federation. He will also oversee sporting and business operations for the men's and women's programs in Mexico for the past five years. Despite this, Arthur Blank, the owner of the Atlanta team, acknowledged his new role, but expressed confidence in Culebo's ability to return Atlanta United to its former level while leading the launch of the NWSL club.
