Mexico City is set to host a massive soccer practice at the Zócalo in an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the "world's largest soccer class" ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The goal is to gather over 10,000 people simultaneously, surpassing Seattle's current record of 1,038 participants. The event is part of a strategy to bring soccer closer to Mexicans and is set out to bolster Mexico City's position as a global tourist destination. The training session will be conducted as a group training session, with participants encouraged to stay active throughout the session.
