Death Cab for Cutie has announced a new single and album, I Built You a Tower, inspired by "Loss and Grief," set to arrive on June 5. The album was written by Ben Gibbard, Nicholas Harmer, Jason McGerr, Dave Depper and Zac Rae. The song "Riptides" explores the struggle of dealing with personal struggles and the impact of witnessing tragedy and loss on a large scale. The band will embark on a tour in May, featuring support from Jay Som, Japanese Breakfast, Nation of Language and Lala Lala.
